Photocapture 360

1. Connect turntable and compatible camera to your computer via USB and launch PhotoCapture 360 software. If used in conjunction with Photosimile 200, Photosimile 50 or the Ortery Light box, turntable can connect to the light box.

2. Place an item on the turntable and use PhotoCapture software to:

a. ‘Preview’ the item on your monitor screen in real-time

b. Rotate the item on the turntable 360 degrees and adjust it’s position until perfectly centered (no wobble around the center as it spins)

c. While the object rotates, use PhotoCapture software to compose the picture using zoom and crop commands. Pictures are cropped as they are taken eliminating the need to crop later. Advanced camera settings such as aperture, shutter, etc… can also be controlled from the software.

d. Select number of pictures to take (between 4 and 200), file name, size and resolution. Choose animation speed, spin direction and shooting type (continuous, manual or time lapse), then press “Start”

3. Software, camera and turntable work in unison to automatically capture the images. (rotate-snap, rotate-snap, …until finished) Images are saved directly on the PC.

4. Confirm the quality of each picture taken and re-take if necessary. Turntable will automatically turn to the correct position, re-shoot and replace the original image.

5. Resulting images can be exported as JPGs, sent via email, printed, annotated, edited or stitched in the Photosimile software. Stitching the images results in 360-degree product animations in GIF or Flash (swf) file format. The animations are ready for immediate use on websites or for business communication.

6. (optional) Images can be exported to Flash, QuickTimeVR or other stitching programs. Images can also be exported to Photoshop, or any editing program, for cleaning then re-imported to Photosimile for stitching.

Real-time Preview for Still Image Photography

See everything in real-time on your monitor screen before you take a picture. Zoom, Crop and Rotate commands help compose the image before pressing 'Snap' to take the picture.

Pre-Cropping for Still Image Photography

In Preview mode click Crop and then drag the crop markers to select the area you want to keep in the picture. Keep only what you need, not everything the camera sees. Save time by eliminating the need to edit / crop the image later.

Automatic Image Download

Pictures are automatically transferred from camera to PC within seconds and displayed on the monitor for immediate viewing, editing and saving.

This will save lots of time and eliminate the problem of downloading then realizing that several pictures need to be re-taken. With Photosimile, you’ll know whether you got a good shot before removing the item from the shooting area..

Image Stitching for Spinning Objects

Captured images can be automatically stitched using the PhotoCapture software to create four types of Flash files (each with click-and-drag mouse control) and GIF files.

Image Export / Import

Sequences of captured images for product animations can be exported for stitching inside popular programs such as Flash® and QuickTimeVR® or for editing in Photoshop then re-imported to the Photosimile program for stitching.

Image Processing Features

Increase speed & efficiency. Photosimile includes image annotation and email capabilities, batch saving, resizing, naming, watermarking and the most basic image editing features such as brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness. Images can also be directly exported to any editing program.

Batch Watermarking

Place your logo or website address on your images. Images can be watermarked every time you save or send them from the program.

Image Annotation

Draw and write on images then send them via email from the program to communicate precisely with vendors, colleagues and customers.
